The mission

Our mission is to build a strong European network that unites AI pioneers and healthcare stakeholders to responsibly develop and implement AI technologies that benefit patients and society.

By bringing together leading European hospitals and technology partners, the network aims to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of care through AI.

Vision

TRAIN Europe envisions a future where AI is widely applied at patient’s bedside. This is achieved through a standardized data model, secure infrastructure, and strict adherence to European regulations. The network ensures technical robustness and patient safety through collaboration among top medical and technical experts.

Working groups within TRAIN europe

Regulatory and EU contacts

To serve as the primary liaison between TRAIN Europe and European regulatory bodies and institutions. This group ensures alignment with EU legislation, and facilitates proactive engagement with policymakers.

Guidelines and standards

To support the practical adoption of trustworthy and responsible AI in healthcare by developing, aligning, and promoting guidelines and standards across the network.

Registry

To establish and maintain a shared registry of AI solutions used in healthcare, enabling transparency, accountability, and continuous learning across the network.

Membership vetting and evaluation

To ensure that new members align with TRAIN Europe’s mission and values by establishing a transparent and consistent vetting process.

Media Outreach

To raise awareness of TRAIN Europe’s mission, activities, and impact through strategic communication and public engagement.

Setup and Governance

To establish the foundational structure and legal framework for TRAIN Europe, ensuring long-term sustainability and effective coordination.

These questions help assess AI maturity of health care entities and pinpoint where enhancements are needed, ensuring readiness for responsible AI development and implementation. This is a critical step to ensure that health care entities joining the initiative are prepared to implement responsible AI and understand their health care AI roadmap.
